Knowledge on best aquaculture practices such as proper pond management,fish breeding techniques,feeding frequency are very important to farmers.Through capacity building and training, farmers are able to obtain these skills and hence increase on their profits.
Training Programs Offered
Aquaculture Training : We provide comprehensive training sessions structured for aquapreneurs. These sessions cover various aspects of fish farming, including pond management, fish health management, feeding practices, and record keeping. The goal is to equip farmers with practical skills and knowledge to improve their operations
Training often includes practical demonstrations and site visits to fish farms, allowing participants to observe best practices in action. This experiential learning approach helps reinforce theoretical knowledge with real-world application
Focus on Modern Techniques: The farm emphasizes the use of modern hatchery technology for producing quality fingerlings (African Catfish and Male Tilapia). Training includes techniques for breeding, feeding, and managing fish stocks effectively.
Fish wellness and health diagnosis
Fish diseases and control remains one of the major challenges imposing threats to fish farmers hence reducing their production capacity. our mini fish health laboratory is hence equipped with disease diagnosis machine and water quality test kits to help farmers who cannot acquire these equipment due to their high cost.
Pond /tank/Cage constructions
As part of our extension services to local farmers, we do both pond and cage construction.Our ponds could either be liner,earthen,raised or tanks based on the farmer’s land size.

We are the centre of bench marking in western kenya for beginners,researchers and students.
Accommodation
Apart from fish farming,we also have accommodation facilities with upto 23 bed capacities for both local and international clients.
