Who Jumbo Fish Farm Is
Jumbo Fish Farm is a Kenyan aquaculture company based in Kakamega County, specialising in modern hatchery technology to produce high-quality African Catfish and mono-sex Tilapia fingerlings. Beyond production, we run training and capacity-building programs, provide aquaculture consultancy, and host students, researchers, and exchange partners from Kenya and abroad. We work with government bodies, universities, NGOs, and international development partners who share our commitment to sustainable, science-led aquaculture.

World Resources Institute (WRI)
Applying insights from WRI, JFF addresses food loss and waste, particularly within the omena (dagaa) value chain. This guidance enables JFF to apply evidence-based approaches to reduce post-harvest losses, strengthen value chain resilience, and promote more sustainable food systems. By drawing on WRI's research and expertise, JFF can better inform its interventions, support improved practices among value chain actors, and contribute to enhanced livelihoods and environmental sustainability.

The Aquaculture Consortium (TAC)
The Aquaculture and Blue Economy Consortium is an association of input and service enterprises dedicated to implementing a comprehensive approach to value chain development. Through coordinated investments in fingerling production, feed production, transport, cold chain management, fish processing, and local and export market trade, the consortium strengthens the aquaculture value chain while promoting value addition, improving market access, and enhancing the productivity, incomes, and livelihoods of smallholder fish farmers.
