What began as a tree-planting exercise became something far greater, a moment of connection, inspiration, and planting seeds beyond the soil.

We paid courtesy visits to Butula Technical and Vocational College, St. Benedict's Buhuyi Comprehensive School, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology ? Butula Campus, and St. James Kwang?amor High School.

At MMUST Butula Campus, we were warmly introduced by Prof. Christine Mango, a strong advocate for women and youth leadership and environmental stewardship, setting the tone for meaningful engagement.

Across all institutions, our focus was clear: inspire students to see aquaculture as a viable and sustainable career path, promote cultural exchange, and build lasting partnerships within our community.

We made firm commitments. Jumbo Fish Farm will work with each institution to establish one or two demonstration ponds as living classrooms for practical learning. The top three students in each class will also earn a sponsored visit to JFF through our Aqua-Tourism Department, because exposure creates possibility.

And yes, we planted trees in every school, not just as CSR, but as a statement. Stewardship must be taught, modelled, and practiced.

This weekend, we did more than plant trees.

We planted curiosity.

We planted opportunities.

We planted the future.
